Scores of Kashmiri Pandits took out a protest rally in Anantnag on Sunday demanding the Sharda Devi temple in Pakistan Administered Kashmir should be thrown open for Pandits of Indain administrate Kashmir on the lines Kartarpur Corridor.
The Kashmiri Pandits were brandishing placards and shouting slogans in support of reopening the passage to PaK.
Sharda Peeth is a abandoned temple in Sharda village of PAK along the Neelam river across LoC. During the era of 6th to 12th century BC it was centre of learning and is regarded as one of the 18 highly-revered temples in South Asia.
The protesters, under the banner of All Party Migrant Coordination Committee (APMCC), demanded that the Sharda Peeth corridor between Neelam Valley in PaK and Teetwal in north Kashmir be reopened on the lines of the Kartarpur Corridor, reports said.
